T-Test Trivia
Any statistical test that uses the t-distribution can be called a t-test. One of the most common is Student’s t-test, named after “Student,” the pseudonym that William Gosset used to hide his employment by the Guinness brewery in the early 1900s. Â They didn’t want their competitors to know that they were making better beer with statistics.
